Safety of funds and client protection

Five layers of protection, all verifiable: bank segregation, negative balance reset to zero, encryption, two-factor authentication and an annual independent audit.

Short answer

Sening Capital applies five levels of client protection: segregation of client funds in separate accounts at Tier-1 banks, negative balance protection, data encryption using the TLS 1.3 protocol, two-factor authentication for access to the personal area and an annual independent audit. Client funds are not used for the company's operating activity and cannot be applied to cover its obligations.

Layer 1

Segregation of funds

Client money is held in bank accounts separate from the company's operating funds. This is an obligation of the licence, not a voluntary measure.

Segregation diagram Daily reconciliation · annual verification
CLIENT DEPOSIT PIX · SPEI · PSE · card · USDT SEGREGATED ACCOUNT Tier-1 bank · held in clients' name Daily balance reconciliation Outside the insolvency estate OPERATING CAPITAL Payroll, technology, marketing Minimum capital 50,000 USD NO TRANSFER BETWEEN ACCOUNTS EXTERNAL AUDITOR Annual verification Segregation is an obligation of licence FCA 806721, not a voluntary measure.

What this means in practice

The company cannot use your funds for its own trading, to cover expenses or as security for obligations to third parties. In the event of the company's insolvency, segregated funds do not enter the insolvency estate and are subject to return to clients.

Reconciliation

The match between the balances of the segregated accounts and total liabilities to clients is verified daily and confirmed in the annual independent audit. It is exactly the point an external auditor checks first.

How to check it yourself

  1. Look up licence number FCA 806721 on the regulator's public register.
  2. Check that the register states the segregation obligation for that category of licence.
  3. Ask support for the reference of the audit report for the latest financial year.
  4. Check that the figures published on this site match those on the register and in broker directories.
An honest recommendation

Run these four checks on any broker before depositing, this one included. An intermediary that makes verifying its licence difficult is, on its own, reason enough not to trade with it.

Layer 2

Negative balance protection

In a sharp market move, a position can close at a price worse than the Stop Out level — for example, in an opening gap after the weekend. In that situation the account balance would theoretically go negative.

Sening Capital policy: a negative balance on retail client accounts is reset to zero. No debt to the broker arises and the company does not claim payment of it. The client's maximum loss is limited to the amount of funds in their account.

The protection applies automatically, requires no request and covers every type of account.

What this protection does not cover

Negative balance protection prevents debt, not loss. You can lose all the funds deposited. The only defence against that is position sizing and the stop loss, not a broker policy.

Recommendations to the client

Enable two-factor authentication, use a unique password and do not disclose your account details to third parties. Sening Capital employees never ask for the password to the trading account or the personal area, whether by telephone or in writing.

Layer 4

Protection against fraud that uses our name

We record cases in which third parties use the company's name to solicit funds. These are the unmistakable signs of a fraudulent scheme.

Transfer to a personal account

A proposal to send money to an individual's card or wallet. Sening Capital accepts funds only through the payment methods available in the client's personal area.

Guaranteed profit

A promise of guaranteed return or of “managing your account for a fixed profit”. The company does not provide discretionary asset management services.

Request for a password or remote access

A request to disclose your password or to install remote control software on your computer. No legitimate employee will ever ask for this.

Unpublished channels

Communication through channels not listed on the Contact page. Always check the sender's domain and the telephone number against the published ones.

Payment to “unlock” a withdrawal

A demand for an additional amount to release a withdrawal. That procedure does not exist. No legitimate withdrawal requires a payment first.

Artificial urgency

Pressure to decide “today” because an opportunity is expiring. Sening Capital's conditions are published and do not change with how quickly you reply.

How to report it

Send a message to [email protected] with screenshots of the communication, the telephone number or profile used and any payment details you were given. We act on these reports and pass them to the relevant platforms.

Layer 5

Dispute resolution

Customer support

First stage. Response within 24 hours by email or telephone.

Formal complaint

If there is no resolution, a complaint to [email protected]. The compliance department reviews it within 10 business days.

Regulator or independent body

If you disagree with the outcome, you can approach the independent dispute resolution body or the FCA using the details given in the legal section.

The client retains at all times the right to approach the regulator directly, at any of the stages and without exhausting the earlier ones.

Responsible trading

Self-control tools

Trading with leverage carries a risk of capital loss and can create behavioural problems. Sening Capital gives the client technical self-control tools, not merely informational ones:

  • Reduction of leverage by your own decision from the personal area.
  • A deposit limit per period.
  • A daily loss limit that blocks the opening of new positions until the following day.
  • A temporary lock on the account for a period of between 24 hours and 6 months on request.
  • Permanent closure of the account with withdrawal of the remaining balance.
Warning

Do not trade with borrowed money, with funds earmarked for essential expenses or with money whose loss would substantially change your financial situation. If you notice that you increase the size of your positions after a run of losses, enable the daily loss limit and the temporary lock before continuing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Client funds are held in segregated accounts at Tier-1 banks, separate from the company's operating capital, and cannot be used for its business. Negative balance protection, TLS 1.3 encryption, two-factor authentication and an annual independent audit also apply.

No. Retail client accounts have negative balance protection: if a position closes at a price worse than the Stop Out level and the balance goes negative, that figure is reset to zero. The maximum loss is limited to the amount of funds in the account and no debt to the broker arises.

Break off the communication immediately and report it to [email protected]. Signs of fraud: a request to transfer money to a personal card, a promise of guaranteed profit, a request for your password or a demand for an additional payment to “unlock” a withdrawal. The company accepts funds only through the methods available in the personal area.

No. The company does not provide discretionary asset management services and does not guarantee any return. Any offer to “manage your account with guaranteed profit” made in the company's name is fraudulent and should be reported to the security department.

In the personal area, open the “Security” section, choose the confirmation method — authenticator app or SMS — and scan the QR code or confirm your telephone number. Once enabled, access to the personal area and withdrawal requests require a one-time code.

Funds held in segregated accounts do not form part of the company's insolvency estate and are subject to return to clients. The match between segregated balances and total liabilities to clients is reconciled daily and verified in the annual independent audit.

Yes. From the personal area you can reduce leverage, set a deposit limit per period, set a daily loss limit that technically blocks the opening of positions, temporarily lock the account for a period of between 24 hours and 6 months, or close it permanently by withdrawing the balance.

Check it before you deposit

Verify the licence on the regulator's public register, enable two-factor authentication and set your daily loss limit on the same day you open the account.
